Players stay for the entire two week program at the Ludwigsburg Youth hostel close to Freiberg am Neckar. Our German FARA representative will accompany the youths as a 24-hour chaperone and tour guide.

Daily meals are normally eaten at the youth hostel, and eaten out when on touring actitivities. Meals eaten at the youth hostel are included in the program price. Meals eaten out are the responsibility of the player.

An adult chaperone is provided by FARA, who accompanies the boys during their entire length of stay abroad. The chaperone meets the players at the airport, drives them by van to Freiberg, and stays with them for the entire program duration.

FARA's chaperone will be responsible for administering the program including organizing and chaperoning daily tours, introducing and accompanying players to SGV Freiberg's various youth teams and trainings, and enforcing FARA's strict rules for behavior and misconduct.

Exploring the southern German region is in many ways as exciting as the German soccer experience for our participants. Past excursions have included trips to the medieval town of Rothenburg, the Heidelberg castle, and the beautiful Black Forest city of Freiburg. There are organized tours including visiting Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, the Mercedes Benz or Porsche Museums, and attendance of a Bundesliga match.

Accommodation in Ludwigsburg Youth Hostel.
Airfare not included. FARA player must reserve their airline ticket through our partner travel agency to ensure proper arrival and departure scheduling.
Full board included. Meals that are eaten out during touring activities are the responsibility of the player.
Full time chaperone from arrival in Frankfurt airport to airport departure in Frankfurt back to the U.S.
10-15 training sessions, Mon-Fri each weekday morning and/or afternoon.
Full ground transportation. Chartered vans for daily transport.
Participation in friendly matches as guest players of SGV Freiberg's youth teams.
Official SGV Freiberg club gear including warm-up suit, practice jersey, shorts, socks, and bag.
Tourist activities organized by host families, FARA, and SGV Freiberg including visits to Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, regional castles, and Mercedes-Benz or Porsche museum. Extra activities organized by host families themselves.
Attend a professional Bundesliga (German pro league) match upon availability
Visitation of VfB Stuttgart training session at the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart. Stadium held 2006 World Cup matches.

For players age 14-18 (Birth years 1990-1993)
Players must be currently competing at a competitive levelf soccer in their state.
Limited space per age group.
Maximum of 10 players accepted into program.
Players chosen on a first-come first-serve basis for all of those who fulfill
program requirements.

All applicants must also be sure to have a current passport. Non-US citizens with residency in the US must also have a current passport, and be able to obtain a travel visa to Germany.
