Capital of the province of Flemish-Brabant, the city of Leuven is perhaps best known throughout the world for it's glorious architecture, it's internationally renowned University and it's world famous beer. Situated just to the west of
Brussels, no town in Flanders quickens the imagination as much as this centuries-old university town.

The first references to the town can be traced back as far as the 9th century, with its first town wall, churches, monasteries, and abbeys built, some of which still stand today. No matter whether you're staying for a short or long period in Leuven, its combination of rich historical and cultural sites and its modern, university town atmosphere will find a place in your heart forever.

Namur is the capital of Namur province as well as the political capital of Wallonia (the French-speaking Southern part of Belgium). With a population of 105,000, Namur is
located at the
Sambre River and the Meuse River and thus has had a military significance in centuries past that guaranteed continual assault, from Roman times through the second World War. Also a university town, the French

speaking Namur provides a beautiful array of cultural sites, nightlife locals, and last but not least, one of the strongest clubs from the Wallonia region, UR Namur.

Wavre is a Walloon municipality located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, of which it is the capital. Wavre is located in the Dyle valley. The Wavre municipality includes the old communes of Limal and Bierges. Wavre is also called "the City of the Maca", referring to the statue of the small boy who tries to climb the wall of the city hall. Tradition holds that touching the Maca's buttocks brings a year of luck.

Now a busy commerce town at the crossroads of Brussels and Leuven (15km from Brussels), Wavre offers a central location, a thriving gastronomic downtown, and a history dating back over a millennium. Wavre's surrounding peaceful countryside provides a quiet refuge to the bustling Brussels metropolis.

Waterloo's claim to fame is the famous Battle of Waterloo between the First French Empire of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Alliance of the Seventh Coalition
(Great Britain,
Prussia, Austria and others). There is a memorial in the form of a statue of a lion on a hill, with 226 stairs, called La Butte du Lion.

Today Waterloo contains two Carrefour hypermarkets, a Delhaize store, a Ibis hotel, a Fortis Bank branch, numerous office parks and two international schools: St. John's International School and the Scandinavian school. A row of shops, called Petit Paris is along Chaussee de Waterloo from the church to the intersection with Dreve Richelle There are also numerous bars that are very popular on the weekends. One in particular is "Le Marginal" which is located next to the main church in the center of town.
